THE ROLE: XRAY TECHNOLOGIST
This position may be eligible for a signing bonus or other various hiring incentives; a member of the Recruitment Team will confirm eligibility during the interview process.
Responsibilities
- Technologists arrive at a patient’s location in company vehicles fully equipped with some of the latest in portable diagnostic digital x-ray equipment.
- Unload portable X-ray equipment to take into client facilities to perform exams.
- Obtains clinically diagnostic, technically competent x-ray images.
- Uses proper radiation protection and takes precautions to protect themselves and others.
- Must act with initiative and responsibility to achieve maximum imaging quality.
- Responsible for patient safety and wellbeing during examinations.
- Assists and instructs patients during examinations.
- Transmits images to interpreting radiologists or cardiologists for result. Ensures that images are labeled properly and of good quality.
- Take quality EKGs as directed by the ordering clinician.
- Participates in quality control and quality assurance.
- Reports to supervisor equipment failures and/or malfunctions.
- Responsible for inspecting and cleaning equipment prior to use.
- Reports all patient complaints, discrepancies, and drug reactions according to QA policies.
Requirements
- Provide and maintain the required State License and ARRT Certification
- One year of Rad Tech experience, preferred - New Grads Welcome!
- Maintain CEU’s as required by state regulations.
- Must successfully pass a background check screening.
- Valid state-issued Driver License in the applicable state and in good standing always.
- Proficiency with technology (computers, mobile devices, etc.).
- Possess excellent communication skills.
- Ability to display common sense and good judgement in following rules, protocols, policies, and procedures.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods standing, reaching, and bending.
- Must be able to push and pull minimum of 75-100 pounds.
- Physical strength and agility to position patients for a variety of diagnostic examinations.
- Annual physical required per CMS regulations.
