American Healthcare Resources is seeking well-qualified Patient Care Technician/ Lab Candidates.
The schedule is Monday-Friday. Hours range between 7:30am-6:30pm.
We offer weekly pay with direct deposit!
Job Description:
- Collect and draw blood samples from patients, ensuring correct labeling
- Processes and prepare aliquots and label specimens appropriately
- Assists new PCTs and PES with lab and EHR computer systems and blood collection, withing the policy guidelines
- May train phlebotomy students with blood collection techniques
- Helps prepare for lab inspections related to phlebotomy. Maintain the area to be inspection ready
- Works with Providers and Nursing staff on problem lab orders
- General knowledge of lab tests and patient safety
- Answers phones and preforms computer inquiry for determining status of testing when requested by nurses and physicians
- Monitors phlebotomy inventory, preforms clerical duties and quality assessments as assigned
