What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead, Customer Service CSC position at American HomePatient?
This employee aids in supervising all Customer Service functions of order entry while abiding by the procedures set forth by management within the customer support centers (CSC).
Job Responsibilities:
- Assists the Customer Service Supervisor in the supervision of all Customer Service Personnel *If applicable
- Actively participates in the training of all Customer Service personnel including new hires *if applicable
- Monitors the flow of orders to and from the Customer Service Department
- Deletes corrects or re-enters patient orders as deemed necessary
- Monitors phone calls to confirm the proper telephone techniques used by Customer Service Personnel
- Read and analyze documents such as patient orders
- Comprehend pharmacy prescription terminology if applicable
- Effectively communicate with co-workers and patients alike
- Help with the training of employees if applicable
- Calculate figures and amounts in reference to frequency and doses dispensed if applicable
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out oral and written instructions
- Fairly reprimand and verbally discipline employees according to approved procedures if applicable
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Computer entry experience necessary
Physical Demands:
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
