American Howa Kentucky, Inc. is seeking a full-time Accounts Payable to join our finance team.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to work in both physical and electronic filing systems.
- Proven record of identifying and managing priorities with the ability to communicate with team members.
- Excellent data entry skills with the ability to focus over long periods of time and a sense of urgency to escalate mistakes as appropriate.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills that prioritize solutions and ability to present management with compliant recommended actions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite, especially Microsoft excel as well as accounting software ERP software.
- Strong ability to remain in a confidential manner any pertinent AHK information and or assignments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONS:
- Understand and promote AHK’s operating philosophies.
- High volume data entry
- Connect purchase orders to invoices and process payment
- Sending non-purchase order invoices for approval
- Reviews all AP invoices for appropriate documentation and assist accounting manager prior to payment
- Communicate with vendors about issues, statements and answering inquiries
- Verifying invoices in multiple accounting systems
- Maintains accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and corporate accounts payable files
- Assists in monthly and year end closings
- Prepares analysis of accounts, as required
- Performs filing and coping
- Perform other duties as required (other projects or assignments requested)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Some of the physical demands for this position include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time and being able to stand for prolonged periods of time in a manufacturing environment if necessary.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- At least two years of professional experience in a bookkeeping or entry level accounting position required.
- Basic accounting Knowledge including GAAP or another accounting Framework.
