Position summary :
The Graphic Designer is responsible for developing and executing multimedia content that enhances American Humane Society’s marketing, demand generation, and branding strategies across various platforms. The role demands a creative and technical skill set, with a strong focus on graphic design, video production and editing, and digital marketing.
The Graphic Designer will maintain the brand style guide and ensure that all creative materials adhere to established brand standards. The person in this position will collaborate with Communications, Event Marketing, Development, and program leads to develop compelling creative that will help drive the organization to the next level.
Responsibilities :
- Create new and original designs and execute file production from beginning to end. Materials include (but are not limited to) reports, infographics, brochures, banners, email templates, newsletters, internal communications, posters, signage, social media graphics, short and long-form videos, and event branding.
- Project manage all design work from initial concepting through production, approval process, and delivery.
- Ensure copy and graphics work in a cohesive manner to drive desired outcomes. (Copy provided from internal or freelance sources.)
- Manage multiple assignments and internal clients simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and maintaining design quality and content accuracy.
- Create and maintain files for all creative assets and resources.
- Assist in implementation of new image library, including building out assets, identifying gaps and monitoring asset expiration dates over time.
- Proactively collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize creativity and excellence in performance and delivery.
- Supervise freelancers, agency partners and vendors as needed, working within budget and time parameters.
- Develop a deep understanding of the brand’s visual language and ensure consistency in all design outputs.
- Collaborate with internal clients including Marketing, Development, Communications, Event Marketing, and program leads to execute on-brand and engaging materials.
