Job Description
Position Summary & Objective
The Helper job responsibilities will include grinding complex radii, such as runner fillets upgrading surfaces to a specified surface finish and general deburring. Helper I may be required to assist Fabricators and welders in making setups and in any general labor as needed. Job will require masking of parts in preparation for blasting and paint.
Classifications
- Novice-Painting (Brush or roller) / Maintenance painting
- Novice-Gather materials
- Novice-Assist Fabricators and Welders
- Novice-Basic blueprint reading.
- Novice-Able to perform flat grinding of buckets.
- Novice-Able to perform grinding of weld preps.
- Novice-Able to perform under direction limited upgrade grinding of buckets.
- Novice-Able to perform under direction limited upgrade grinding of wicket gates.
- Novice-Able to operate jib cranes and forklifts to move and position components for optimum grinding performance.
