Key Responsibilities
- Draft and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and forms.
- Manage client files and case management systems.
- Handle scheduling, calendar management, and appointment coordination.
- Conduct basic legal research and maintain case deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and court staff.
- Translate and interpret documents in both English and Spanish.
- Manage office technology and provide general administrative support.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma required.
- Bilingual: Proficiency in both English and Spanish required.
- Experience: Prior experience as a legal assistant, especially in immigration law or supporting attorneys, is preferred.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, case management software, and online research tools.
- Typing Speed: Fast and accurate typing skills.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication.
- Integrity: A strong sense of professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive information.
Compensation
- Pay: $15/hour
Office Hours
Regular business hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
