What You'll Do
- Lead & Mentor: Manage and mentor a team of BI professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Develop Strategy: Define and implement a BI strategy aligned with business goals to support data-driven decision-making.
- Optimize BI Tools & Dashboards: Enhance performance and scalability
- Drive Cost Efficiency: Implement optimization strategies to reduce overall BI costs, improve resource utilization, and streamline data processing.
- Ensure Data Accuracy & Reliability: Oversee data integrity, ensuring stakeholders receive high-quality, timely insights.
- Implement Best Practices: Establish and promote BI standards, documentation, and governance frameworks to maintain consistency and reliability.
- Foster Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders to refine BI solutions and drive adoption.
- Oversee Technical Execution: Manage cross-team dependencies, coordinate with tech leads, and ensure smooth execution of BI initiatives.
- Encourage Innovation & Ownership: Promote a team-driven approach to decision-making, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Need to be a Top Candidate
- 7 years of experience in Business Intelligence, with a strong focus on BI development, performance optimization, and strategy.
- Deep technical expertise in BI tools, and great ETL experience in designing, building, and optimizing ETL pipelines.
- Proficiency in SQL performance tuning, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts. Must have SSIS and SQL Server.
- Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Cognos, Tableau, or some BI Application Administration Tool.
- Strong engineering background with knowledge of data integration techniques, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven ability to select and implement BI tools and technology stacks to drive efficiency.
- Leadership & Team Management: Experience leading high-performing BI teams, mentoring talent, and fostering an inclusive environment.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Track record of partnering with product and engineering teams to align BI initiatives with business needs.
- Agile & Project Management Experience: Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Jira, and Confluence.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Ability to translate complex data concepts into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Strategic Thinking & Problem-Solving: Strong decision-making skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results.
