What You'll Do
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to review business requirements and propose solutions.
- Maintain data integrity and ongoing quality of delivered solutions.
- Analyze, design, and build solutions using Tableau, Cognos, and other data visualization tools.
- Support ad hoc reporting as necessary.
- Identify data quality issues and work with the appropriate teams for resolution.
- Create relationational and dimensional models.
What You'll Need to be a Top Candidate
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or other related field.
Experience: 3-5 years’ of data analysis or business intelligence experience required. Experience must include supporting an Accounting or Finance team from a business intelligence prospective, or a combination of experience in an Accounting or Finance role and a business intelligence role will be reviewed. The ideal candidate will also have experience in the property and casualty insurance industry due to the highly regulated financial environment.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Expertise in Accounting and Finance processes and reporting requirements.
- Intermediate to advanced expertise with Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Cognos, Power BI and/or R/Python required.
- Relational database concepts.
- Designing and delivering cross-functional custom reporting solutions.
- Strong knowledge of SQL (T-SQL).
Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Analytical mind, critical thinker, and problem-solver.
Strong ability to interact, communicate, present and influence within multiple levels of the organization.
Must be comfortable working with minimal direction.
