What You'll Do
- Assist with preparation of and review of monthly financial packages for senior management, with more comprehensive quarterly financial packages.
- Assist with the preparation of presentations to the Board of Directors
- Assist in planning preparation and analysis of consolidated budgets and reforecast for entire Income Statement and Balance Sheet for multiple Insurance Companies and Operating Companies.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of the department and consolidated results compared to actuals through analytical reviews and discussion with business partners.
- Prepare ad hoc requests for senior management.
- Assist with special projects, as needed.
What You'll Need to be a Top Candidate
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or other related field from a four-year institution required.
Experience: 1 to 3 years in an FP&A role. The ideal candidate will have background or familiarity in property insurance, but this is not required.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Advanced Excel skills required.
- Outlook, Word, PPT or other presentation tool.
- Ability to drive process improvements and develop analytical/reporting tools
- Experience with actual business functions of a company
- Analytical and modeling experience. SQL querying skills preferred, but not required.
- Solid organizational skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to collaborate effectively within team as well as work cross-functionally throughout the organization to obtain information and financial data for analysis.
- Ability to problem solve and work independently.
