What You'll Do
- Support and maintain existing cybersecurity systems, to protect the company's information systems and data
- Monitor IDP systems for potential threats and respond appropriately to any and all potential events
- Contribute to the development, updating, and enforcement of security policies and procedures
- Participate in security audit, risk assessments, generate vulnerability reports, and make recommendations for improvement
- Participate in activities to enhance the overall security awareness of the organization
- Collaborate with team members to integrate security solutions into existing infrastructure as well as proposed solutions
- Conduct root-cause analysis for any security related service interruption and establish preventive measures
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure high quality deliverables within organization guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Provide after-hours support on a rotational "on-call" basis and to work "off-hours" as needed.
- Ensure the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability.
- As need arises, backup peers on the engineering team and collaborate to solve problems and develop innovative solutions
What You'll Need to be a Top Candidate
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or years of experience in a similar position.
Experience: Two (2) to Five (5) Years of technology and/or IT experience. Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices. Experience as a Systems Engineer, preferably with a focus on Cybersecurity. Property and casualty industry experience preferred.
Skills and Knowledge:
- High level understanding and experience with Identity Access Management (IAM)
- Experience with vulnerability assessments, patching servers and devices, and Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR)
- PowerShell and/or Python scripting knowledge
- Experience with Microsoft Defender, Purview and Exchange
- Experience with the FortiNet product suite
- Experience with AWS, AWS Workspaces, Azure, Entra ID and MS Exchange Online
- Ability to quickly analyze issues in order to provide and implement the best possible solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience researching technical issues and implementation of resolutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, relating to both technical and nontechnical staff
- Ability to work individually and in a team environment and to provide assistance, instruction and training
- Ability to focus, execute and to provide excellent customer service
- Relevant certifications such as AZ-500, CISSP, CISAM, CompTIA CYSA or CompTIA Security preferred but not required.
- Experience with Microsoft MECM, Deployment Toolkit, WSUS, SharePoint, SQL, and VMWare preferred but not required
- SolarWinds and other network/systems monitoring tools preferred
