American Interiors, Inc. is seeking a full-time Commercial Drywall Estimator/Project Manager for San Antonio, Tx.
This individual will be estimating Drywall, Metal Stud and Acoustical Ceilings in San Antonio, TX and the surrounding area and is responsible for the following duties:
- Performance of precise takeoffs on various types of construction projects.
- Composing comprehensive material and labor estimates.
- Create and maintain relationships with area vendors for competitive material pricing.
- Be involved in the internal bid reviews with supervisors and project team.
- Negotiate and confirm contract scope inclusions & exclusions.
Basic Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of commercial drywall estimating experience is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Construction Science or comparable work experience.
Minimum Requirements:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook.
- Skilled knowledge of OnCenter and Quickbid.
- Ability to visualize various building techniques including load-bearing applications.
- A clear understanding of how to read and understand specifications and drawings.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to learn the company’s standards and apply those skills efficiently.
- Strong customer service skills, including relationship building, entertainment, & regular facetime.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask.
- Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative.
