Job Description :

The Human Resources Department is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Talent & People Operations Specialist to join our team. This position will be the first point of contact for employees and external stakeholders, providing support across various HR functions. This role is responsible for a wide range of tasks that support the day-to day operations to include managing the full-cycle recruitment process, onboarding and orientation, benefits administration, maintaining accurate HR records and reports in the HRIS.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Recruitment :

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs. Streamlining the recruitment workflow to improve efficient, time-to-fill, and enhancing hiring manager satisfaction.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience at every stage of the recruitment process from sourcing to post-offer.
  • Maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations in recruitment practices.

HR Operations

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation
  • Maintain and update employee records in HRIS systems, ensuring accurate data
  • Generate HR reports and analytics in the HRIS to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Help implement and maintain HR initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional employment policies.
  • Benefits Administration

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
  • Serve as a liaison between employees and benefits providers to resolve issues and answer questions.
  • Coordinate all PFMLA's, FMLA's with employee and third-party plan administrator
  • Manage open enrollment and ensure compliance with applicable benefits regulations.
  • Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3- 5 years of experience in talent acquisition and people operations, with a focus on process improvement and optimization, preferably in higher education.
  • 3-5 years of benefits administration.
  • 1-3 years' experience working with a HRIS systems, ATS (applicant tracking system) preferably ADP.
  • Knowledge of state compliance, labor laws and best practices.
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
