Production Operator (Spray Dryer)
The position will be located at 5020 S 33rd St., working with different management levels and support personnel in all other locations.
The impact you will have:
- Working in the manufacturing facility or production group assigned by supervision or management
- Assembly, operation and cleaning of process equipment which may include: kettles, mixers, grinders, pumps, scales, nozzles, dryers and any other equipment used in manufacturing processes
- Operation of test equipment such as: pH meter, caliper, thermometer and others
- Maintaining of work areas in clean and orderly fashion
- Maintaining equipment (minor repairs)
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
- Follow Good Documentation Practices including records on Manufacturing Instructions and cleaning records
- Assist Plant Supervisor, Production Supervisor, Production Staff and Quality Assurance in troubleshooting and determining root cause of process deviations
- Assist Technical Services on process improvement and product development projects as assigned by supervisor
- Follow Safety SOPs and provide recommendations to the Safety Committee when appropriate
- Request repairs to equipment from supervisor and/or maintenance as needed
What we are looking for:
- High School Diploma.
- Ability to competently perform processing procedures.
- It is preferred that you will have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, cGMP, and manufacturing documentation.
- Willingness and ability to learn, work hands-on and with a sense of urgency, in a fast-paced and diverse product manufacturing environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Physical requirements may include working with enzyme products, occasionally rolling or moving drums weighing from 50-350lbs., and lifting drums weighing up to 120lbs.; using material handling equipment such as barrel carts, dollies, pallet jacks and forklifts; bending, twisting and lifting material out of drums and boxes; working with and handling hazardous chemicals.
