They assist with month-end closing tasks, verify and approve invoices, and handle cash transactions. Additionally, they collaborate with external partners on financial workflows, assist with audits, and improve processes for efficiency.This is a remote position; however, we are seeking candidates based in the Nashville, TN area or within a reasonable driving distance. While day-to-day work is remote, occasional in-person meetings or collaboration may be required.

This person is responsible for managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) for multiple locations, ensuring accurate financial records and controls. They assist with month-end closing tasks, verify and approve invoices, and handle cash transactions. They also manage financial data integrity, reconcile credit card transactions, process purchase orders, and support tax compliance. Essential Duties
- Responsible for Accounts Payable in 2-3 locations.
- Responsible for Accounts Receivable in 2-3 locations.
- Manage accurate accounting records and controls for multiple sites.
- Assist Assistant Controller in completion of month-end tasks across all regional locations.
- Manage data integrity of master files within all applicable systems.
- Verify/approve invoices daily.
- Posting of all non-lockbox AR and cash transactions including ACH, manual checks, and deposits.
- Prepare and record journal entries as requested.
- Complete financial coding of credit card transactions.
- Credit card transactional posting and reconciliation.
- Release routine reporting for multiple sites as assigned.
- Process purchase orders/receipts within ERP system.
- Collaborate with outsourced partner in ERP/financial system workflow.
- Assist with annual 1099 production process.
- Possess knowledge of the following reconciliations: AP, AR, payroll, and banking.
- Knowledge of inventory control, variance, and reconciliation.
- Development and submission of document requests associated with local, state, and federal tax filings and compliance.
- Apply innovative thinking and procedural modifications to determine best in practice processes.
- Manage intercompany transactions.
- Support internal and external audit proceedings.
- Associate's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-5 years experience in accounting or finance role
- Organizational experience: 250-500 employees, $50M-$100M top-line revenue, and multi-site/multi-entity
- Reports to: Assistant Controller
- Location: Multiple/Remote
