Position Overview

The Business Developer will be at the forefront of driving growth and expanding our presence in the Pittsburg market. This role encompasses a blend of strategic planning, relationship building, and project management to secure new business opportunities and maintain strong client relationships.

Essential Duties

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve target sales and expand market reach.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of business development activities, adjusting strategy as needed.
  • Identify and engage potential clients through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals with clients.
  • Foster and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Continuously monitor the market and collaborate with peers and leaders within the organization to formulate effective sales strategies.
  • Engage in cross-functional partnerships to offer market planning expertise.
  • Analyze market data to develop strategic business plans and target key growth areas.
  • Assimilate future acquisitions into the organization and regional framework.
  • Utilize data analytics and reporting to steer decision-making and align the focus of regional teams and operating entities.

Education, Knowledge And Experience

  • 5-7 years of experience in a sales or business development role in landscaping.
  • Natural hunter mentality
  • History of successfully driving business development initiatives.

Skills And Quailifactions

  • Strong understanding of landscaping services and market dynamics.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in collaborating and influencing others to achieve success.
  • Understanding the industry, including market trends and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Ability to maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to pivot between strategic and tactical responsibilities as needed.
  • Experience with EOS preferred.
