Essential Duties
- Architect and implement an industry-leading safety program tailored to the organization's operational landscape, ensuring regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
- Conduct in-depth safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across multiple sites, identifying hazards and executing corrective measures to prevent incidents.
- Establish and enforce company-wide safety policies and training programs, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to best practices.
- Partner with senior leadership and operational teams to integrate safety initiatives into daily business processes, enhancing overall workplace safety and efficiency.
- Lead and promote a proactive safety culture by delivering high-impact training programs, leadership coaching, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics, incident reports, and compliance data to drive evidence-based decision-making and policy enhancements.
- Oversee thorough investigations of workplace incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Spearhead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and regulatory training sessions to ensure organization-wide awareness and compliance.
- Manage environmental compliance initiatives, including hazardous materials handling, waste management, and sustainability efforts.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, ensuring timely reporting, documentation, and compliance with federal, state, and local safety mandates.
- Develop and oversee emergency preparedness and response plans, ensuring all personnel are adequately trained for potential incidents.
- Implement and enforce contractor safety management protocols, maintaining stringent safety standards across all third-party engagements.
- Ensure the proper selection, utilization, and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE), aligning with job-specific hazards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide strategic guidance on workers' compensation claims management and return-to-work programs, optimizing outcomes for both employees and the organization.
- Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably within the landscaping or related industry.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong HR and accounting knowledge, with experience in payroll processing, invoice management, and HR compliance a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
- Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employees, customers, and vendors.

- Experience with EOS preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in environmental, health, and safety roles, preferably within the landscaping, construction, or related industries.
- Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other relevant safety and environmental regulations, with a demonstrated ability to ensure organizational compliance.
- Proven track record in managing multi-site safety operations, requiring frequent travel and oversight across diverse operational settings.
- Expertise in designing, implementing, and managing end-to-end safety programs from inception to continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data-driven insights for risk assessment and strategic decision-making.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, capable of influencing and educating personnel across all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in collecting, interpreting, and presenting safety performance data to drive informed business decisions and regulatory compliance.
- Advanced technological proficiency, including experience with safety management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and data reporting tools.
- Highly self-motivated, with the ability to operate independently, prioritize complex tasks, and drive key initiatives with minimal supervision.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is strongly preferred.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) designation is highly desirable.
- Experience with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) is preferred.
- Industry Expertise: Extensive experience in safety leadership within landscaping, construction, or related industries, particularly in managing the complexities of multi-site operations.
- Strategic Safety Program Development: Proven ability to design, implement, and continuously refine robust safety policies, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Data-Driven Leadership: Strong proficiency in analyzing safety metrics, identifying trends, and leveraging quantitative insights to drive risk reduction and operational excellence.
- Relationship Management: Demonstrated success in engaging, influencing, and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels to foster a culture of safety and accountability.
- Regulatory Mastery: In-depth understanding of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations, with a track record of ensuring full compliance and proactively addressing evolving safety standards.
