A Landscape Irrigation and Lighting Consultant has many responsibilities. At the core this professional creates lasting relationships with clients through both leads that are supplied and your own connections generated through networking and relationship building. After meeting with new potential clients your job is just beginning, you will be able to create accurate and creative computer-aided drawings, and proposals to provide meaningful solutions for both residential and commercial clients. After the sale you're the main contact for your clients keeping them up to date on progress and a start date for their project. During and after the project you will be in contact with both the installers and customer to ensure a smooth completion and verify the quality of the product we are providing. Once the project is completed you personally walk the customer through to answer any questions they may have and again ensure complete satisfaction. After this point you will communicate with the office to finalize and ship the invoice. Through your diligent follow-up and rapport building that customer will think of you for the next project which many of our customer base is repeat and referral.

Essential Duties
- Design custom irrigation systems based on a client's individual needs, site conditions, and water conservation goals.
- Provide stand-out creative lighting solutions and ideas by listening to what the customers needs are and thinking outside the box.
- Able to solve basic math equations to gain knowledge on flow rate, power consumption, square, linear, and cubic ft measurements.
- Understand that working closely with clients is essential to be able to adjust when needed, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- The ability to identify, through training, points of water connection, type and sizing of water supply lines, and acceptable mounting locations for various components.
- Stay current with industry technology, best practices, and different lighting techniques.
- Experience in the green industry would be preferred but we are willing to train the right highly motivated person.
- Excellent communication skills written, verbal, digitally and in person to deliver best in class customer service.
- Willingness and ability to gain industry accreditation after appropriate time and experience is gained.
- Proficiency with Microsoft word, excel, outlook, and ability to learn the drawing software is a must.
- Outstanding time management, prioritization, and analytical skills to meet and exceed deadlines accurately while under pressure.
- Experience in landscape irrigation and lighting.
- Familiarity with landscape design software.
- General knowledge of irrigation and lighting installation practices.
- Greet customers in a friendly and inviting way.
- Provide stellar customer service by addressing concerns, answering questions and following up before, during and after the sale.
- Educate customers confidently on why they should do business with you and our company without using negativity to put down competitors.
- Ability to walk long distances across uneven terrain in varying weather conditions including extreme heat.
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time.
- Outdoor work at various residential, commercial, or agricultural locations.
- Monday through Friday with Saturdays as needed during the busiest times of year.
