Position Overview

As a Commercial Driver, you will play a crucial role in loading, transporting, unloading, and delivering materials and equipment to various locations, including out-of-state. You will assist in equipment operation and maintenance, providing support to other divisions as needed, all while working with indirect supervision. Essential Duties

• Load, transport, and unload materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow instructions and navigate routes accurately while maintaining a daily log.
• Complete Driver's Vehicle Inspection for any vehicle requiring a CDL and report issues to maintenance.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and clients, promoting a positive public image.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding timesheet information, job-related problems, and potential hazards.
• Ensure a safe working environment by analyzing loading and transport methods.
• Maintain proper care and maintenance of company equipment, ensuring all machines are properly serviced.
• Uphold cleanliness and organization at job sites, vehicles, and accommodations.
• Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and be prepared for out-of-town assignments as needed.
  
  

Education, Knowledge And Experience

• Understanding of safety regulations, map reading, and information reporting.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local laws applicable to commercial vehicles and oversized loads.
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Skill in operating commercial vehicles in various terrains and conditions.
• Capacity to follow company policies and procedures diligently.
  
  

Skills And Quailifactions

• Valid Class A CDL driver's license
• Clean driving record eligible for coverage under the company's vehicle insurance.
• Current DOT medical card (properly filed with the state).
• Reliable mobile communication device.
  
  

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and work on uneven terrain.
• Capacity to work in adverse weather conditions and field environments.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
