Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate part-time teacher or teacher's assistant to join our team and provide specialized tutoring for struggling readers in grades K-6. This role is instrumental in helping students build confidence and improve their literacy skills through one-on-one and small group sessions.
Responsibilities:
- Work with students in grades K-6 to improve reading skills, comprehension, and fluency.
- Follow a detailed, pre-planned curriculum designed to address the needs of struggling readers.
- Participate in comprehensive training prior to working with students to ensure curriculum familiarity and program success.
- Provide encouragement and personalized support to help students develop confidence in their reading abilities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with program coordinators.
Qualifications:
- A teaching degree is strongly preferred, but candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.
- Prior experience working with children, particularly in a teaching or tutoring capacity, is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- A passion for supporting children’s academic growth and confidence.

- Schedule: 25-29 hours per week
- Training: Specific training will be provided before the start of student sessions.
