What are the responsibilities and job description for the Title I Specialist (Florence, AZ) position at American Leadership Academy?
American Leadership Academy is now accepting applications for a Title 1 Specialist to service our Anthem South Elementary Campus located in Florence, AZ for the 2025-2026 school year. All candidates must be willing to obtain a AZ IVP fingerprint clearance card.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
- Provides high quality intervention needed to move students to grade level proficiency (including but not limited to: small groups, participating in team meetings etc.)
- Based upon student performance data, assists teams in locating intervention resources and ensure implementation of agreed upon intervention plans
- Monitors the grades, testing data, 45 day screener actions, intervention placement, intervention actions, SST/MTSS placement, and other critical data for (K-6) or (7-12) students that are identified in the following sub-groups: 504, ELL, Bottom 30%, IEP, SPED
- Utilizes a tracking system to maintain lists of students participating in interventions.
- Supports teachers in the use and interpretation of screening, diagnostic, and progress monitoring assessments to improve student achievement in reteach and remedial classes
- Provides math or literacy interventions as necessary for identified students
- Maintains records of interventions and progress monitoring to ensure process fidelity
- Assists in developing intervention plans for identified students within the MTSS process
- Supports the school’s MTSS committee and ensure all necessary documentation is completed pertaining to evidenced-based interventions
- Assists with district benchmark assessments using the schedule set by campus administration
- Participates in any test coordinator pre-test trainings, and assist the campus Assistant Director with any state testing procedures or protocol
- Analyzes and provide previous year state assessment data to all teachers, and utilizes this data to make informed program decisions for the new school year
- Ensures that compiled Time and Effort logs from staff trainings are reviewed, maintained and enforced on a regular basis
- Participates in planning and implementing on-going staff development related to Title I
- Attends required coaching trainings and professional development
- Attends PLC Team meetings, Campus and District meetings/trainings as directed
- As directed by Federal Programs Director, assists with development and distribution of Parent Involvement Policy, Parent-School Compact, ESEA form collections and other misc. Title 1 compliance documentation
- Assists and/or coordinates the implementation and interpretation of a comprehensive needs assessment with Administration and Federal Programs Director
- As needed, assists with collection of Income Eligibility forms or National School Lunch forms
- Ensures student eligibility and participation in extended services are maintained
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Prior instructional experience in a Junior High/High School campus, working with at-risk students
- AZ Teaching Certification Preferred
- Valid AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- Previous experience working in a Title 1 campus preferred
