American Heritage Schools - Palm Beach Campus is looking for a full-time Athletic Trainer.
American Heritage is looking for a highly motivated athletic trainer with a passion for positively impacting young student-athletes to fulfill the athletic training position. This is a full time 10 month contract position that does not require teaching responsibilities and offers health benefits, 401K, and a competitive salary. The candidate must be willing to work in a team setting but also be comfortable working independently with a multitude of athletes ranging in age and level. The full-time certified athletic trainer will assist the Head Athletic Trainer in prevention, immediate care, evaluation, diagnosis and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
American Heritage School is a high academic PreK-12 college preparatory institution, offering sports for students in 6-12th grade. These sports include: Football, Cheerleading, Boys/Girls Volleyball, Cross Country, Swim and Dive, Golf, Boys/Girls Soccer, Boys/Girls Basketball, Boys/Girls Weightlifting, Boys/Girls Lacrosse, Baseball, Softball, Boys/Girls Tennis, and Track and Field.

Minimum Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in appropriate area of specialization, Master’s degree preferred
Licenses/Registrations/ Certifications:
- BOC Certification and in good standing
- First Aid/CPR, BLS Certified, FL Athletic Training License, or eligible Professional Responsibilities and Expectations
Skills & Abilities:
- Conform to all Athletic Department policies and procedures as required; coach’s professional development including but not limited to Concussion, Heat Illness, and Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
- Excellent critical thinking skills under high stress situations.
- Ability to use discretionary judgment and make independent informed decisions pertaining to injury assessment, referral, and return to play criteria according to state licensure and operational protocol.
Exemption Status:
- Non-Exempt
- This is a full time 10-month position that requires midday, evening and weekend availability.
