POSITION OVERVIEW |
The classroom teacher is responsible for educating and supporting students to help them reach learning targets. Teachers must be content area experts who make sound instructional decisions, create and maintain a learning environment where positive relationships are built and routines and procedures are in place to create collective responsibility. Teachers are responsible for providing rich learning tasks for intellectual engagement, assessing formatively and summatively, and providing feedback to students for their academic achievement. |
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES |
*Daily elective classes require instruction of: -Ballet Basics and technique (students range from beginner to advanced levels) -Various Turn sequences, leaps and combinations -Choreography in Jazz, lyrical, contemporary, pom, and hip hop -Responsible for choreography and direction of dance performances in our spring fling festival and end of the year dance concert (two routines per class) -Cutting music for performances -Costume ordering / parent communication -Daily Grading and attendance / choreography projects *Competitive Team Head Coach: -Responsible for all choreography of large groups, small groups, solos, etc. (usually 12 routines) -Booking competition registration and travel for competition (three a year) -Costume ordering -Parent communication -Auditions -Rehearsals after school. 3:30-5:00 (3 days a week) *Performance Team Head Coach -Team is open for all 6th-12 graders / Perform at all home games during half time -Cutting music -Choreography for half time shows and Homecoming -Rehearsals twice a week. 3:30-4:30 -Costume ordering -Dance Camp during one week of summer |
