- Perform rigging and crane operations to lift or move materials, machines, or products to install roadside and overhead signs.
- Ensure all materials are firmly secured and all parts of the truck are compliant with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Transfer loads to construction sites and discharge safely.
- Completing thorough load checks before leaving for job sites.
- Complete required logs, crane inspection, truck inspection, and reports.
- Read load charts and operate within the capacity of the charts.
- Interact with various levels of personnel, including Managers, Technicians, Coordinators, and Maintenance staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to identify types of rigging hardware to determine their capacities and intended useability.
- Must be proficient in verbal and written English.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- 12 months minimum experience operating a Digger Derrick is preferred.
- Experience in DOT related work preferred but not required.
- Upon offer, employees will be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.
- A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
- In-house Digger Derrick Training/Certification provided.
- Weekly travel within the state of Georgia, depending on project location. Willing to travel out of state for emergency storm work as needed. Lodging and per diem provided for all overnight stays.
- RARE (less than 10%): Sitting, Kneeling, Crawling, Color Vision, Climbing Stairs
- OCCASIONAL (up to 33%): Stooping, Squatting, Climbing On/Off a Truck, Climbing Ladders, Pushing, Reading, Lifting to 50 lbs.
- FREQUENT (up to 66%): Carrying, Pulling, Balancing, body-twisting, Hearing/Speech Range, Lifting, lifting to 10 lbs., Manual Dexterity, Speaking Clearly, Walking
- CONTINUOUS (up to 100%): Standing, Sense of Touch, Gripping, Seeing, Reaching, range-of-motion, Depth Perception, lifting over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs., Climbing
