Driver Training Superintendent
American Lighting & Signalization is continuing to expand, and it has now come to the point where we require a Driver Training Superintendent. This is a full-time salary position and requires candidates to be a responsible team player, who can multitask, and provide assistance to the safety departments of the company as required. You will be required to travel within your area of responsibility with a provided company vehicle, manage the Driver Certification Portal, and conduct driver training for onboarding and retraining as needed.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Knowledge of all applicable federal and state safety laws and regulations, including OSHA. Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, training, and organizational skills.
Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Education & Experience
CPR/First Aid/AED certified Instructor or obtainable within 90 days.
Pre-Screen
Upon offer, employees may be required to subject and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background and/or MVR check.
License & Certifications
Valid CDL Class A driver's license required.
Travel Requirements
Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must have sufficient eyesight to judge distance/coordination of equipment and tools, be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time, be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments, be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary, be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day, have the endurance necessary to traverse various terrain, be capable of performing job duties throughout a standard 8- or 10-hour day, be able to communicate with others, read, write, and comprehend written/verbal job instructions and information, and communicate and handle conflict professionally.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Implement fleet management metrics and policies.
- Monitor driving metrics from fleet program and assist leadership with corrective action.
- Maintain accurate records of all Drivers.
- Conduct regular driver safety training sessions, including defensive driving techniques and hazard recognition.
- Conduct driving behavior audits on assigned drivers.
- Collaborate with drivers and other departments to optimize fleet operations.
- Assist the Regional safety team with motor vehicle incidents investigations, training, and driving program improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and update driver safety and compliance policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to driver safety.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
