Job Description
As an Inventory Management Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing the inventory levels and maintaining accurate records of stock quantities. You will be responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments, as well as monitoring and controlling the movement of material and parts along the conveyor system.
Main Duties:
- Coordinate and expedite the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments following production and shipping schedules or department supervisors' priorities.
- Requisition material and establish delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated material availability.
- Arrange for in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules, and with department supervisors for repair and assembly of material and its transportation to various departments.
- Monitor and control the movement of material and parts along the conveyor system using a remote-control panel board.
- Compile reports of quantity and type of material on hand, move or transport material from one department to another, using hand or industrial truck.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in inventory management or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
