Job Summary
The Logistics Coordinator position is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Main Responsibilities:
- Review production schedules and confer with department supervisors to determine required or overdue material and locate it.
- Requisition material and establish delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated material availability.
- Arrange for in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules, and with department supervisors for repair and assembly of material and its transportation to various departments.
- Monitor and control the movement of material and parts along the conveyor system using a remote-control panel board.
- Compile reports of quantity and type of material on hand, move or transport material from one department to another, using hand or industrial truck.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
