Job Overview:

AMS is seeking a Qualified Full-Time Ship Cleaner to join our team in the New Orleans area. The Ship Cleaner will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining vessels to ensure they meet safety, operational, and hygiene standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in ship cleaning or industrial cleaning who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain ship interiors and exteriors, including decks, living quarters, and equipment.
• Remove debris, oil, and hazardous materials following safety protocols.
• Use appropriate cleaning solutions and equipment to sanitize surfaces.
• Perform routine inspections to identify areas that need attention.
• Safely operate cleaning equipment such as pressure washers and industrial vacuums.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Report any maintenance or repair issues to the supervisor.
• Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and participate in company-provided safety training.
• Travel to various job sites as needed.

Qualifications:

✅ Previous experience in ship cleaning, marine maintenance, or industrial cleaning preferred.
✅ Must have a valid TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
✅ Clean DMV record.
✅ Ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
✅ Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures.
✅ Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or kneeling.
✅ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
✅ Must be authorized to work in the United States.
