What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production/ Machine Operator position at American Marksman?
Job Title: Production Associate/Machine Operator- Working 5:30 am to 4 pm Monday-Thursday
Interviews will be conducted at an offsite location.
General Definition: Operates and performs mechanical adjustments and repairs to production equipment used in the manufacture of ammunition components.
Duties:
Pulldown
- Operate case tumble to rumble cases.
- Operate pulldown machines.
- Perform limited tool setter duties on pulldown equipment.
- Complete all associated paperwork.
- Unload trailers of pulldown from buildings.
- Perform all forklift duties in pulldown.
- Prepare materials for pickup and storage.
- Label all hazardous waste can and drums and dispose of empty drums.
- Manage propellant powder
- Manually pack ammunition into containers. Move materials, supplies, ammunition components, finished ammunition, etc. by hand truck to and/or from assigned area.
- May operate electric lift/cart and push two-wheeled dolly to load and unload materials.
- Visually inspect and/or pack components in accordance to military and commercial packing configurations.
- Perform weekly machine power press check and safety shower and eye lavage checks.
- Complete daily machine logs and production paperwork.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Prerequisites:
- Must comply with all safety rules and regulations.
- Must comply with all written procedures.
- Must be able to obtain license to operate a forklift.
- Must be capable of repeatedly lifting and/or moving containers (ammo cans, propellant drums, stockpots, etc.) more than 35 lbs. Good general health is needed for the extensive walking, bending, lifting and climbing required to perform the job.
- Must have general computer knowledge, and can interpret, analyze and interact with computer-generated information.
- Must have working knowledge of mechanical repair work.
