Salary: $120K - $140K (Based on Experience)
Qualifications of the Assistant Director of Nursing:
- Must have New York RN license
- Must have prior Assistant Director of Nursing experience in long term care
- Must have long term care experience
- Must be a leader and team player
- Must have great written and verbal communication skills
- Must be aware of all state/federal regulations
Responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Nursing:
- Supervises all nursing staff in the facility
- Development and implementation of nursing policy and procedures, as well as quality improvement initiatives
- Overseeing the hiring and continued employment of nursing staff
- Ensuring there is adequate nursing staff, and that the staff's skills remain current
- Overseeing nursing employee conduct
- Being knowledgeable of incidents at the facility
- Conducting patient rounds and addressing complaints.
- Evaluating the performance of the department and recommending improvements.
