Qualifications:
- Must have prior experience a Director of Recreation
- Must have long-term care experience
- Ability to plan, develop, implement, and facilitate programs
- Experience in managerial role and ability to lead and develop a dynamic team
- Proven management and leadership skills
- Must have excellent communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive activities therapy program for the facility.
- Oversee and train activity staff and volunteers.
- Ensure adequate supplies and equipment are available for activities.
- Modify or adjust activities to accommodate different ability levels and preferences.
- Participate in the performance improvement and continuous quality (CQI) improvement activities.
