Medicaid/Medicare Biller – Long Term Care/Nursing Home Company
Remote Position
Salary: $100K to $120K
Responsibilities of the Medicaid/Medicare Biller:
- Medicare/Medicaid/HMO Claims Billing: Execute billing processes for claims, focusing on skilled nursing facilities
- This includes tasks such as reviewing census data and authorizations, billing for services, and overseeing collections and payments
- Collaboration: Work closely with business office staff, conducting audits, ensuring compliance with CMS regulations, and actively monitoring receivables and aging reports
- Meet as needed for meetings with residents, families, Social Services and the Business Office Managers.
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications of the Medicaid/Medicare Biller:
- Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. HS diploma or GED required.
- Experience with Medical Billing and Collections in a nursing home setting.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, HMOs, and hospice billing
- Knowledge of state and federal nursing home guidelines
- Knowledge of how to calculate medical billing codes
- Strong working knowledge of Excel
