Position Summary:
As a Delivery Technician, you will be responsible for delivering medical equipment to customers' residences within the Northwest Georgia area. You will set up the equipment, provide customer education, perform routine maintenance, and ensure all necessary documentation is accurately completed. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle medical equipment in a safe and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and set up medical equipment in customers' homes.
- Provide clear instructions on the operation, cleaning, and maintenance of the equipment.
- Accurately complete all required paperwork, including daily delivery logs, pick-up and delivery forms, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Transport, handle, and route medical equipment in compliance with infection control, safety, and maintenance standards.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and simple repairs on medical equipment as needed.
- Maintain and service home oxygen systems during regularly scheduled visits.
- Assist in resolving customer equipment problems in emergency situations.
- Manage daily inventory and maintain proper vehicle stock levels.
- Assist in pulling/packing orders and ensuring cleanliness of equipment.
- Process all orders in a timely and accurate manner.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (CDL not required).
- Previous experience in a similar role (medical equipment delivery or healthcare services) is a plus.
- Ability to lift and handle medical equipment safely.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic mechanical skills for simple repairs and maintenance of equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
