We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to join our leadership team. The DON will oversee the clinical operations of the home health program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and compliance with all regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a passion for patient-centered care and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in home health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical oversight and leadership to the nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care that aligns with the organization’s standards and best practices.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all home health services comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation standards.
- Staff Development: Train, mentor, and retain nursing staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment that promotes professional growth and development.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain and continuously improve quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and ensure continuous improvement in clinical practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, social workers, and administrators, to coordinate patient care and achieve organizational goals.
- Patient Advocacy: Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs are met with compassion, respect, and dignity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; proficiency in clinical software and electronic medical records (EMR); knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
