Responsibilities
Product Inspection:
- Inspect incoming shipments for damages, defects, and discrepancies to ensure they meet company and customer standards.
- Verify that all products match the specifications listed in shipping documents and orders.
- Conduct quality checks on outgoing products to ensure they are free of defects, properly packaged, and ready for shipment.
- Assist with periodic inventory audits to ensure product quantities and locations are accurate in the warehouse system.
- Track product movement within the warehouse to identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inspection reports, documenting any damage, defects, or discrepancies found during inspections.
- Report any quality control issues to the Warehouse Manager and assist in corrective actions.
- Document inspections and maintain organized records for traceability and compliance purposes.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and warehouse protocols during the inspection process.
- Monitor and enforce the safe handling and storage of materials and products.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or violations within the warehouse.
- Work closely with the receiving, inventory, and shipping teams to address and resolve any issues with damaged or defective goods.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely resolution of inspection-related issues.
- Ensure that the inspection area is clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Assist in maintaining general warehouse cleanliness and safety practices in accordance with company guidelines.
- Participate in meetings or training sessions aimed at improving quality control processes and overall warehouse operations.
- Provide feedback on process improvements to help enhance warehouse efficiency and product quality.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, quality control, or inspection (preferred).
- Knowledge of basic quality control processes and techniques.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies and defects.
- Ability to use warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer software.
- Strong communication skills to report issues clearly and collaborate with team members.
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage inspection tasks in a timely manner.
- Forklift certification.
- Experience with inventory management software.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution center environment.
