The position plays a crucial role in overseeing daily warehouse operations regarding the loading & launching of trucks, managing warehouse staff, and ensuring efficient and accurate handling of goods. They are responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing workflow processes, and fostering a safe and productive work environment.
Warehouse Manager Responsibilities

Our company is seeking a 3rd Shift Warehouse Supervisor to help manage a shift within within our 200,000 sq. ft. Tampa distribution center. The position plays a crucial role in overseeing daily warehouse operations regarding the loading & launching of trucks, managing warehouse staff, and ensuring efficient and accurate handling of goods. They are responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing workflow processes, and fostering a safe and productive work environment.
Warehouse Manager Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise and lead warehouse staff, including assigning tasks, providing training, and conducting performance evaluations. Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Resolve conflicts and address employee concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Operational Management: Oversee the receiving, storage, and shipping of goods, ensuring compliance with company procedures and safety regulations. Coordinate with other departments to fulfill orders, resolve discrepancies, and meet customer expectations. Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits to maintain accuracy and prevent stock shortages or overages.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and productivity, implementing changes as needed. Streamline workflow processes, such as picking, packing, and shipping, to minimize errors and reduce cycle times. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology tools to optimize inventory control and order fulfillment.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that goods are handled and stored in accordance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct quality inspections and implement measures to prevent product damage or loss. Address any quality issues or customer complaints promptly and effectively.
- Safety Compliance: Promote a culture of safety awareness and ensure adherence to workplace safety policies and procedures. Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. Provide training on safe equipment operation and proper handling techniques to minimize accidents and injuries.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, transactions, and warehouse activities. Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as productivity, accuracy, and inventory turnover. Analyze data to identify trends, evaluate performance, and make data-driven decisions to improve operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and develop a team.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of inventory control principles, warehouse safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Forklift certification and/or other relevant certifications (desired).
