Internship Program:

We are seeking highly motivated and talented individuals to join our 12-week summer internship program. As an intern with American Modern, you will gain practical experience, build professional relationships, and contribute to the success of our organization. As a valued intern with our Corporate Underwriting team, you will have the opportunity to:

• Assist in collecting, processing, and analyzing large datasets from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions.
• Participate in data validation and testing processes to ensure the reliability and accuracy of data outputs and visualizations.
• Assist the team by performing tasks designed to understand the Property and Casualty marketplace while providing information/research.
• Participate fully with other team members by actively asking questions, volunteering answers, and assisting teammates as appropriate.
• Ideate on problem areas and come up with meaningful, value-added solutions to implement.
  
  
  

 

Qualifications:

• Junior or higher pursuing a Bachelor’s degree. This position is open to students with a concentration in Data Science, Business, Economics, Risk Management, or a similar program.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
• Basic knowledge of SQL, Excel, and other data manipulation tools.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks.
• Candidates must be local (Cincinnati, OH) and able to travel and work in the office at least 2 days a week.
