Reports to : Senior Director of Marketing and Communications

Classification : Full-time FTE (1.0), Regular, Exempt

Liaises with : All members of the marketing department and staff across the organization.

Annual Salary : $75,000-$85,000

The Digital Marketing Manager, Website and Advertising plays a pivotal role in advancing AMS's mission by enhancing member engagement, driving revenue, generating leads for events, and increasing interaction with key audiences. The responsibilities include :

  • Enhancing website functionality and advertising conversions in collaboration with the Engagement and Retention and Growth Marketing Managers on messaging.
  • Overseeing AMS's main website, ensuring top performance, user-friendly experiences, and comprehensive analytics reporting.
  • Managing external partnerships, including with AMS's web agency, for support with web development and SEO.

Website Management

  • Directly oversee AMS's WordPress-based website, ensuring accessibility, usability, and effective conversion rates for actions like membership sign-ups and event registrations.
  • Optimize website traffic through strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain dynamic content, collaborating with colleagues involved in web content creation.
  • Manage related AMS platforms (AMS Learning, Connect community, AMS Jobs Board, and The Montessori Event) to evaluate and enhance functionality as necessary.
  • Work closely with marketing teams to ensure web content and advertising align with AMS overall goals.
  • Provide guidance on SEO best practices, usability, and conversion optimization.
  • Collaborate with the web agency on additional development needs and ongoing SEO strategies.
  • Digital Advertising & Analytics

  • Design, implement, and refine paid advertising campaigns on platforms like Google Ads and Facebook / Instagram Ads, focusing on lead generation and ROI.
  • Leverage Google Analytics and other tools to evaluate website and campaign performance, generating actionable reports for strategic decision-making.
  • Continuously track and enhance campaign effectiveness, including A / B testing of creative assets, landing pages, and ad placements.
  • Optimization & Strategy

  • Analyze digital performance metrics to pinpoint improvement areas, implement solutions, and inform leadership on progress.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance website functionality, navigation, and user experience based on data analytics and user insights.
  • Coordinate with external partners to advance AMS's digital frameworks while ensuring scalability.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 5 years experience in digital marketing, emphasizing website management, analytics, and paid advertising.
  • Hands-on experience with WordPress, including updates and working with web agencies.
  • Proficiency in Google Ads, Facebook / Instagram Ads, and Google Analytics.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot or a similar marketing automation platform; relevant certifications are preferred.
  • Knowledge of SEO strategies, like keyword optimization and technical SEO.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use reporting and visualization tools for data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent project management skills with the capability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for effective remote teamwork.
  • Experience with A / B testing and optimization tools is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is preferred.
  • Familiarity with social media advertising strategies is beneficial.
  • Experience in nonprofit marketing is an advantage.
