Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily accounting duties, including fundings, purchases, and reconciliations using AMB and Meridian Link Mortgage.
Assist with maintaining general ledger and balance sheet accuracy, ensuring financial records are compliant with regulations.
Manage A/P and A/R, as well as bank and warehouse line reconciliations.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and improve processes.
Maintain compliance with RESPA, REG Z, HMDA, and other regulations.
Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.
Support the month-end close and audit processes, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for mortgage industry experience.
Experience with AMB - Accounting for Mortgage Bankers and Meridian Link Mortgage systems.
Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.
Proven track record in meeting deadlines under pressure and managing multiple tasks.
A self-starter with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a reputation for integrity.
