The Information Technology department is seeking an experienced Senior Programmer to support, manage and update various AMNH enterprise financial management and HR systems.
The Senior Programmer should have knowledge of Finance and HR business processes and a strong interest in and a willingness to learn new technologies. Key qualities for success in this role include attention to detail, collaboration, communication skills, curiosity about how AMNH IT products work and support the Museum’s mission, and comfort working independently / in teams / with non-technical partners. This position works onsite at the Museum.
Job duties include, but are not limited to :
- Collaborate with Museum partners to identify requirements and design, develop and implement programmatic solutions that support business processes.
- Customize, support and maintain Oracle and other enterprise applications.
- Design and develop integrations (APIs, ETLs) to streamline processes and enhance interoperability.
- Build, manage and update reports and utilities for data reporting and analytics across the enterprise.
- Provide technical support for business issues.
- Support the IT team with project design and planning.
- Develop detailed technical specification documents.
- Research and recommend new technologies.
The expected salary range for the Senior Programmer is $130,000 / annual – $150,000 / annual. The AMNH offers an extensive benefits package designed to meet the needs of our dedicated and diverse community.
Pay will be determined based on several factors. The hiring range for the position at commencement is based on the type of work and the scope of responsibilities. The salary and placement offered is based on a number of individualized factors, including, but not limited to, skills, knowledge, training, education, credentials, areas of specialization and depth and scope of experience.
