The Annuity eApp Team within Life and Annuity Systems is seeking an entry level Programmer Analyst for our League City, TX location.
The successful entry level Programmer Analyst will become skilled in constructing basic programming solutions to support enhancements, new development, and maintenance of our annuity application entry systems, learning to apply the concepts and skills acquired through both formal and on-the-job training as well as internal policies and procedures. Systems supported by this team currently include Firelight, AnnuityNet, Affirm, and a homegrown application entry system.
Essential Functions and Duties:
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Essential Functions and Duties:
- Demonstrates an ability to communicate with business representatives
- Understands business requirements and can relate these to the supporting system requirements producing technical specifications for the work to be done
- Codes and unit tests readable, reliable, and maintainable programs
- Reviews test results with peers and business representatives to ensure solutions meet the specified business need
- Provides optimal service to all internal and external customers
- Responds promptly to production issues by serving in the team's on-call rotation for the 24-hour support of the team's systems
- Works occasional night and weekend hours to meet target dates
- Bachelor's degree
- Annuity knowledge is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Desire to work with others in an open, collaborative environment
