Responsibilities:
Program Supervision
- Oversee specific academic programs and ensure alignment with the University's mission and goals.
- Provide leadership in curriculum development and review processes.
Teaching and Academic Support:
- Teach a maximum of 3 classes at any given time.
- Assist students with scheduling and provide academic advising each term.
Faculty Development and Evaluation:
- Supervise faculty
- Observe and evaluate faculty performance within the program.
- Assist the VP of Academic Affairs with faculty hiring processes.
- Chair Curriculum Committee and Advisory Board meetings for assigned programs.
Administrative Duties:
- Complete reports and provide necessary information to accrediting bodies.
- Grade assessments, record grades, and provide feedback to students.
- Utilize University resources such as Canvas, virtual library, and synchronous video delivery tools to deliver course content.
Professional Development:
- Complete an annual professional development plan.
- Submit the ABHES Faculty Data Form annually and provide documentation of all professional development activities.
- Incorporate external resources, including guest speakers and simulations, into courses.
Campus Presence:
- Be present at the Louisville, KY campus during in-residence class sessions for IT programs, one weekend per quarter.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in student and faculty orientation.
- Hold faculty meetings and attend department head meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Terminal degree in an information technology field of study.
- Experience in academic administration and program oversight.
- Strong focus on student success and support.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and projects effectively.
