As an Auditor at American National you will bring your background in auditing or controls testing to plan, organize, and execute financial, operational, and compliance audits and provide meaningful observations, conclusions, and recommendations for improvement. In this role, you will enjoy a supportive cross-functional team out of our League City, TX; Springfield, MO; or Glenmont, NY office!
What Will You Do?
• Perform financial, operational, and compliance audits of business units, which includes understanding and documenting key processes and internal controls and conducting a risk assessment based on corporate goals and strategy.
• Develop a risk-based audit program based on risk assessment, which includes all audit procedures, schedules and key milestones, and coordinates audit resources.
• Execute the audit work program and performs analytical, transactional, and control testing.
• Formulate observations and conclusions of management’s internal control based on audit procedures and prepares neat and organized work papers that support observations, conclusions, and conform with professional standards.
• Analyze, interpret, and summarize complex data, policies, procedures, regulations, laws, and statutes to effectively perform audit work.
• Research and effectively summarize laws, regulations, and statutes as part of the audit planning or the annual risk assessment process.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree
• Relevant auditing or controls testing experience.
• CPA, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or other relevant designation is desired.
