American National is looking for a Disbursement Specialist for our Annuity Administrative team. The Disbursement Specialist will.review and processing outgoing disbursements for individual life insurance and annuity contracts with an emphasis on accuracy and prompt completion.

What will you do?
- Reviews and analyzes distribution request forms to successfully complete the following transactions:
- Full/partial surrenders - Systematic withdrawals - Outgoing 1035 exchanges - Fixed or interest only distributions
- Interacts with representatives, policyowners and internal departments
- Screens disbursement requests for fraud prevention
- Normal distributions versus premature distributions (annuities) - Federal and state withholding requirements - IRC Sect 1035 exchanges on outgoing transfer request
- Sound understanding of distributions involving IRAs, 457 plan, 401(k) and pension plans
- (annuities) - Required minimum distributions and 72t distributions (annuities) - Transfer versus rollovers (annuities) - Inherited IRA (annuities) - Spousal distributions (annuities)
- Two or more years of experience.
- Prior insurance and/or banking experience (two to three years preferred) - Working knowledge of basic accounting functions and/or bank procedures.
