Job Title: Field Engineer
American-Newlong, Inc. is seeking a skilled Field Engineer to join our Engineering/Field Service Team.

We are a leading manufacturer and provider of automated packaging systems and integrated robotic palletizing systems with over 45 years of experience.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and/or verify process/control design for projects (PLC's, networks, variable frequency drives, instrumentation, control panels, etc.).
- Support customers, field technicians, and equipment operators to solve equipment issues over the phone.
- Responding to customer callouts and field dispatches.
- Conducting routine equipment servicing in the field.
- Installing new equipment and systems as well as managing inspection of existing electrical and controls equipment; design and integrate new electrical and controls equipment into preexisting systems.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities.
- Assist shop assembly with installation of control panels and control devices in equipment.
- Accurately generate parts list for new or preexisting equipment in a timely manner.
- Communicate with in-house, contract, and customer programmers of various abilities to explain design intent and facilitate interface with upstream and downstream equipment.
- Provide technical assistance and training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Establish and maintain remote access to facilities for troubleshooting and updating programs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology or an equivalent field from an accredited college or university.
- 2-5 years of experience with PLC programming using mainly, but not limited to, Allen Bradley processors, and HMI's.
- Specific experience with Compact Logix, Micro Logix, and PanelView in automated packaging machine environment.
- ~2 years in controls engineering role, preferably as an integrator.
- ~1-3 years' experience of electrical control panel design.
- ~1-3 years' experience of panel building experience.
- ~2-3 years' experience of CAD 2D, 3D software.
- The ability to travel approximately 70-80% a year, nationally to client worksites.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a valid passport and travel internationally without restriction is required.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position with a regular work schedule of 8am-5pm. NLA will not sponsor an employment visa (e.g., H-1B visa, etc.)
