The schedule for this position is 12-hours (6:45am-7:00pm), on a rotation where you work every other weekend.
The QA Specialist at American Nitrile plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our nitrile glove products. This position is responsible for conducting inspections, testing materials, and analyzing data to maintain the highest standards of quality and safety. The QA Specialist will work closely with various teams to implement quality assurance protocols, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Duties and responsibilities
- Quality Inspections: Perform routine inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
- Testing and Analysis: Conduct laboratory testing on samples to evaluate physical and chemical properties, documenting results accurately and thoroughly.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, tests, and quality control processes; prepare reports for management on quality performance and compliance.
- Non-Conformance Management: Identify and investigate non-conformance issues, working collaboratively with teams to develop corrective actions and preventive measures.
- Process Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, recommending changes to processes, procedures, and quality standards to enhance product quality.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all quality assurance activities comply with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as ISO and ASTM.
- Training Support: Assist in training employees on quality assurance protocols and best practices, promoting a culture of quality throughout the organization.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production, R&D, and supply chain teams to address quality issues and support product development.
Qualifications
- Experience in Quality Assurance, Chemistry, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma) are a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control, preferably in a manufacturing or chemical environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, testing methodologies, and industry regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Must speak English or be bi-lingual (English/Spanish).
