SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
. Follow all company rules and regulations related to environmental, health, and safety.
. Read and follow work instructions and inspection standards to correctly perform operational processes and meet customer product specifications.
. Start-up and shut-down machines according to procedures.
. Load, unload and operate tumbler machines.
. Move materials to next process.
. Using hand tools, change worn machine accessories (plate, wheel, comb, in chute, out chute). Check hydraulic system, lube oil, dresser unit.
. Operate crane, hand jack and forklift.
. Operate machine coolant system.
. Operate and maintain brush washer machine.
. Adjust wheel/plate depth check, change diamond.
. Perform quality checks using dial gauge.
. Run three lines plus washer during shift.
. Perform cleaning and 5S tasks.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts; hazards common to industrial settings; chemicals, vibration, and loud noises.
- Safety shoes, safety glasses, chemical resistant gloves and bump caps for this position must be worn on the production floor. Other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
- Jobs on the production floor require a minimum 40-hour workweek. Overtime may be required.
- The pace of work is steady and fast.
- Employees are regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
- The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- This position requires sufficient vision to see details at close range, so the person can pass an inspection test of finished parts and components.
