Job Title: Warehouse Operator
Summary Assist in the safe production of quality products by ensuring steel ball warehouse orders are efficiently fulfilled. This includes:
Operate stand up forklift
Supply pallets to machines
Transfer product throughout the warehouse and production areas
Conduct cycle counts of finished goods
Prepare shipments
Starting Wage: $19.00
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At ANBM, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Follow all company rules and regulations related to environmental, health, and safety.
- Read and follow work instructions and inspection standards to correctly perform operational processes and meet customer product specifications.
- Perform daily checklist of forklifts.
- Supply pallets and boxes to machines.
- Using forklift and pallet jacks, perform physical transfer of product from throughout production, warehouse and dock.
- Conduct cycle count of finished goods.
- Prepare scrap material for disposal.
- Make boxes with VCI bags for customer shipments.
- Pack for customer shipments.
- Properly store machine parts.
- Use barcode system to place and ship product from the racks accurately.
- Apply principles of 5S to assigned areas so everything is organized, clean, and safe.
- Follow all company rules and regulations related to environmental, health, and safety.

Education and/or Experience
- This job requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Basic mechanical knowledge of computerized machines, gauges, and hand tools
- General knowledge of material handling, forklift operation, manufacturing processes, quality control systems
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, and decimals.
- Communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Respond promptly to a sound or light signal when it occurs.
- Concentrate on a task over several minutes without being distracted.
- Arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern.
- Physically move objects safely by using proper lifting techniques.
Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Bump caps, steel toe safety shoes, and safety glasses are required in all production areas. Hearing protection is encouraged and may be required in specific areas.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts; hazards common to industrial settings; chemicals, vibration, and loud noises.
- Safety shoes, safety glasses, chemical resistant gloves and bump caps for this position must be worn on the production floor. Other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
- Jobs on the production floor require a minimum 40-hour work week. Overtime may be required.
- The pace of work is steady and fast.
- Employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
- Must be able to safely mount and dismount forklift and operate foot and hand pedals.
- The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- This position requires sufficient vision to see details at close range, so the person can pass an inspection test of finished parts and components.
- Able to work in plant environment requiring use of personal protection: bump cap, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel or composite toed shoes. Able to walk and stand on concrete most of the shift. Able to work with regular exposure to moving and mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibrations.
