Job Summary:
Set-up and startup of injection molding machines for powered metal and polyurethane.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform mold changing, cleaning and minor mold repair
- Inspect parts under microscope to ensure quality
- Troubleshoot problems during machine operation
- Instruct machine operators on correct and safe operation of machine and auxiliary equipment
- Create and maintain activity logs
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, etc.)
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
- Knowledge of injection molding equipment (Arbug, DeMag & Boy)
- Basic math skills and reasoning ability
- Must be able to stand, reach, twist for up to 8 to 10 hours per day
- Must be able to have hand movement up to 8-10 hours per day
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
- Good visual skills for assessing part quality
