SUMMARY: Assist in administering ISO-9001 Quality System and ISO-14001 EMS System and maintain certification. Maintain statistical tools for continuous quality and profit improvement projects. Lead and drive actions stemming from customer complaints such as implementing corrective actions and assure they validated and sustainable. Be the change agent for quality related projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Analyze and report on statistical data using Excel, JMP, Minitab or other statistical software tool.
- Be the next level for complaint resolution with customers beyond the administration of the complaint. Duties would include identifying root cause, implementing corrective actions, and driving projects to proactively mitigate future quality risks.
- Write manuals, standards, and procedures as needed or by special assignment.
- Continually drive improvement opportunities and take appropriate action to benefit the success of APC. Profit improvement plans, long and short-term Division goals and helping establish problem solving teams and methods. Recommend Capital projects that improve Safety, Productivity, and Quality within the operation.
- Be a project leader for quality and continuous improvement activities.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. ASQ certification is a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. Demonstrated use of Minitab or JMP is a preferred skill.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
